Introduction:

Honourable Chief Guest Dr Ritu Arvind Singh, Guest of Honour Rev Fr. Savio Coutinho, Provincial Superior – Mumbai Province, our Manager Rev Fr. Andre Costa, esteemed parents, dedicated teachers, and dear students, a very warm welcome to all of you.

It gives me immense pleasure to present the annual report of our school, reflecting on the achievements and milestones of the past academic year.

Academic Achievements:

This year, our students have achieved remarkable academic success. Many of them scored above 90% in the SSC board exams, and we proudly secured a 100% pass rate. This is a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our students and teachers.

Co-Curricular Activities:

Beyond academics, our students actively participate in various co-curricular activities. From debates and elocution contests to art and craft competitions, they have showcased their talents on multiple platforms.

Our dance and music teams have excelled in inter-school competitions, earning numerous accolades. We also place great emphasis on sports, with our students competing in Khel Mahakumbh and other inter-school tournaments. Our school has dedicated football, basketball, and cricket teams.

This year, we introduced football, karate, and archery coaching to foster a strong coaching culture within our school.

Cultural Events:

We take pride in celebrating various cultural events with great enthusiasm. This year, Independence Day, Republic Day, Navratri, and Diwali were celebrated with joy and excitement. At St Mary’s, we make it a point to recognise and celebrate all important festivals, fostering a sense of inclusivity and cultural awareness among our students.

Infrastructure Development:

We have made significant improvements to our school’s infrastructure. A new ERP system has been implemented, streamlining processes such as fee payments and report card generation. Parents now receive real-time updates, including daily attendance and other school-related notifications.

Additionally, CCTV cameras have been installed in all classrooms, enhancing both security and discipline. Our school also boasts four audio-visual rooms, which are actively used for interactive learning.

Teachers’ Training and Development:

St Mary’s is proud to have an experienced and highly qualified faculty. This year, our teachers participated in various professional development programmes and workshops, both online and offline. These programmes have equipped them with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies, ensuring they deliver the best education to our students.

Forward-Looking Curriculum:

Our school is affiliated with the State Board; however, in addition to the prescribed syllabus, we have introduced skill-based subjects to better prepare our students for the future.

  • Spoken English for students in Std. 1-5
  • Coding for students in Std. 6-8

In today’s globalised and digital world, these courses will equip our students with essential skills for success.

Major Achievements:

  • 100% pass rate in the SSC board exams, with multiple students scoring above 90%.
  • Jaden Noronha (Std. VII) won first place in the Rubik’s Cube category and second place in the Word Bank category at the World Mind Sports Event in Dubai.
  • Our school successfully hosted a Kabaddi tournament, with participation from 17 schools. Our team secured the runners-up position in the senior boys’ category.
  • Our students won first place at the district-level science exhibition.
  • Our Pre-Primary section has been officially registered. Beginning next academic year, all pre-primary schools must be registered, and the government will be issuing UDISE numbers for compliance.
